Sunshine Tour: Difference between revisions

The '''Sunshine Tour''' is the one-hundred-first tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on July 26, 2023 and will end on August 8, 2023. This tour introduces [[GBA Lakeside Park|Lakeside Park]] from ''[[Mario Kart: Super Circuit]]'' as a new [[classic course]] to the game while also adding in R/T variants for [[GCN Daisy Cruiser]] and [[SNES Koopa Troopa Beach 2]]; the latter’s R/T variant was previously seen in a [[:File:MKT Pirate Pipe Drivers.jpg|screenshot]] during the [[Summer Tour]]. As of this tour, all [[Yoshi]] [[Yoshi (species)|colors]] from ''[[Mario Kart 8]]'' are present in ''Mario Kart Tour''.

This tour marks the first reappearance of [[Tour Sydney Sprint|Sydney Sprint 2R/T]] since its debut in the [[Sydney Tour (September 2021)|September 2021 Sydney Tour]], the first reappearance of the other variants of Sydney Sprint 2 since the [[Anniversary Tour]], the first reappearance of [[3DS Daisy Hills]] since the [[Ninja Tour (2023)|2023 Ninja Tour]], the first reappearance of Sydney Sprint since the [[2nd Anniversary Tour]], the first reappearance of GCN Daisy Cruiser since the [[Mario vs. Luigi Tour (2022)|2022 Mario vs. Luigi Tour]], the first reappearance of [[Wii Daisy Circuit]] since its debut in the [[Princess Tour]], and the first reappearance of SNES Koopa Troopa Beach 2 since the [[Samurai Tour]] thirty-five tours prior (the longest gap in the game between two appearances of a classic course).

The Summertime Celebration event begins this tour, and will run for the following two tours.

The [[Coin Rush (Mario Kart Tour)|Coin Rush]] course for this tour is [[Tour Sydney Sprint|Sydney Sprint]], which was previously used for the two Sydney Tours in [[Sydney Tour (April–May 2021)|April and May 2021]] and [[Sydney Tour (September 2021)|September 2021]], respectively. The menu background features the [[Daisy Cruiser]] as the tour's landmark, being reused from the [[Ocean Tour]].

*There is an editing error in this tour's splash screen image. [[Toadette]]'s ponytail is seen going behind [[Yoshi|Yoshi (Kangaroo)]]'s [[Green Double-Decker]], even though Toadette is in front of the Green Double-Decker.
