Ocean Small Turtles[1] are a pair of mechanical transports found on a planet in Dreadnought Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. When Mario floods the planet by luring a Bullet Bill to break a vault, two Ocean Small Turtles (which were semi-buried in the ground previously) come out and start moving across the surface of the water. They assist in reaching some Star Bits as well as serving as platforms with which to climb back onto the main body of the area. Their objects' internal name, which translates to "Mercator Turtle (Ocean)", refers to a method of cartographic projection, seemingly in reference to their elliptical trajectory path relative to their planet's shape.
