Donkey Kong Country
Kongo Jungle is the first world in Donkey Kong Country. Most of the area is engulfed in a jungle, but features a long cavern about midway through. The cavern's exit leads to the second half of Kongo Jungle, which itself directly leads to a large lake.
Levels
- Jungle Hijinxs - A jungle level featuring basic enemies such as Kritters and Gnawties. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong are assisted by Rambi the Rhino in the second half the level. He can even break walls which lead to a Bonus Area. DK's Tree House and the Banana Hoard are located at the start of the level.
- Ropey Rampage - This level is filled with ropes, and the Kongs must use them to travel across bottomless pits. Some K-O-N-G Letters can be found by falling off of ropes into secret barrels. The main enemies here are Zinger and Armies, in their first appearances, but Kritters and Klaptraps also appear as well.
- Reptile Rumble - The first cavern-themed level is filled with a rare snake enemies called Slippas. They inhabit the cave, trying to hit the Kongs. Tires also appear here. Other than Slippas, enemies include Klaptraps, a few Zingers, and Kritters.
- Coral Capers - The first underwater level and the debut of Enguarde the Swordfish. Like the other underwater levels, No Bonus Areas can be found in this level. Every underwater enemy except Squidge first appear in this level.
- Barrel Cannon Canyon - This level takes place high up in the trees, and, hence the name, the Kongs will need to use many Barrel Cannons to advance. Four different types of Kritters appear here, red, purple, green, and blue. Other enemies include Armies and yellow and red Zingers.
- Very Gnawty's Lair - The area where the Kongs fight the world boss, Very Gnawty.
