The Legend of Zelda is a fantasy-themed action-adventure game series created by Nintendo. Almost always set in the land of Hyrule, the games follow the adventures of Hylian hero Link, across his various incarnations, as he battles the forces of evil. In most games, Princess Zelda appears as a deuteragonist, while Ganon is the primary antagonist. As one of Nintendo's most successful series, the Zelda franchise has had generous amounts of synergy with the Mario franchise.
