Gold Hearts are an item in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze created by Dixie Kong's Kong POW ability. When collected they will turn one of the player's Hearts gold. When the player is attacked the heart will revert to its original color instead of disappearing, giving Donkey Kong an extra hit point. However, this does not last for the whole level, unlike Heart Boosts.
