HAL Laboratory (HAL Labs for short), originally a small group of friends who shared the desire to create games, has now grown to a respectable size. Among the small group who created HAL Laboratory is Satoru Iwata, the current president of Nintendo of Japan.
HAL Laboratory is a game developer. Among their many creations are the Kirby series and Super Smash Bros. series. Additionally, the Halberd is named after HAL Laboratory.
