Abbey in the Abyss is a co-op challenge featured in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, accessed via the Buddydome/Rabbolatory. It is located in the Spooky Trails category, and is part of the "Unhappy Trails to you..." campaign. This challenge is unlocked after clearing Swamp Romp. The objective of this challenge is to defeat Calavera. Completion of this challenge unlocks the "hard" difficulty for the "Unhappy Trails to you..." campaign.
Description[edit]
Send a special visitor packing to win - IF you can reach him. Hint: Watch for hidden cover points. Area of effect attacks are your friends.
Layout[edit]
The battlefield is somewhat large and symmetrical. The center of the battlefield is a square with cut-out corners that has two Spooky Smashers at the left and right sides. There is a barrier of indestructible cover that can only be accessed by Team Jumping into it. Inside this barrier are four Spooky Supporters as well as Calavera. A single pipe provides a shortcut to the left and right sides outside the barrier. The four corners of the entire battlefield have the highest elevation and are spaced out from each other. Other corners also serve as the starting location for each hero, with one on each corner. Pipes connect the corners to middle ground on the left and right sides of the map, where two Spooky Peek-a-Boos each begin. Pipes from these middle elevations lead to the center.
Battle[edit]
The heroes must defeat Calavera to win. As the battle goes on, more Spooky Smashers and Spooky Peek-a-Boos will rise from the ground. After Calavera is defeated, the challenge is won.
